Who We Are

My name is Matthew and AMP Customs started as a creative outlet after more than 20 years in high-stress corporate environments. During that time, I realized my mental health was better when I gave myself time to create. Building LEGO sets, painting, coloring, designing anything that let me use the creative side of my brain helped me reset.

I have always been drawn to sneakers and self-expression, custom shoes became the perfect canvas. AMP is about expression. It is about taking a pair of sneakers and making them feel like they actually belong to you.

I am based in Oxford, Michigan, and I am a husband, father, sneaker fan, and a guy who likes plenty of nerdy things. What started as a way to bring more creativity into my life has grown into a business focused on helping people express who they are through what they wear. AMP Customs grew from something I needed personally into something I get to share with other people.

  • AMP Customs does not accept returns, as each pair is meticulously handcrafted to order.

  • Contact us to receive an estimated completion date. Timelines vary based on complexity of the shoe order and volume of work in queue.

  • AMP Customs accepts group orders. This can include sports teams, clubs, departments, etc. Time to completion is influenced by the volume and complexity of the work requested.

  • We use high quality non-toxic, waterproof, flexible paints that resist cracking and peeling. Every pair is thoroughly prepped and sealed with a top coat to maximize longevity. Please note that improper care may result in damage.

  • AMP Customs uses only genuine, authentic shoes as the foundation for our products, and we work exclusively with premium paints and sealing materials.
